Scent-ual Sentiments: MARC JACOBS LIMITED EDITION FRAGRANCES
Not a huge fan of any particular Marc Jacobs permanent fragrance lines, like Lola or Daisy, but I am, however, a HUGE fan of Marc Jacobs limited edition scents. These limited edition scents are generally released in groups of three and scents come in large 10 oz bottles. My first Marc Jacobs limited edition scent was Pear and was devastated when I ran out because, of course like any product I love, it was a limited edition fragrance. But soon I began to see a trend. Every time Marc Jacobs released his usual three limited edition scents, there was one , if not all, that I wanted to purchase. After pear, the following year I purchased Cucumber, and this year purchased Pomegranate.
I checked sephora.com and found that this year's scents were just released and are Cranberry, Curacao, and Ginger. I have a feeling I may purchase either Cranberry or Ginger. I have purchased three years in a row and I just know that no matter what scents are released there will be one that I love! They are so fresh smelling and very buildable scents- whether you do one spritz or ten, the scent will always smell amazing....must be something in the formulation that prolongs the smell and freshness of the scent. These fragrances are $68 and last quite a long time.
Currently I wear the Cucumber and Pomegranate (my newest as of October 2010)
As you can see these fragrances are far bigger than normal fragrance bottles so they will last you well over a year, or just about.
Here is the Marc Jacobs page on Sephora.com where the new limited edition scents are shown (along with the 2010 limited edition scents still available):

Hope you check out these new scents!

Review and Application Video to come!
I have been using Sally Hansen salon effects nail polish strips since January when they first hit the shelves at drugstores and pharmacies. I found this product in CVS and it ran me about $11 with tax. Since the product is not as "new", I found it at wal-mart today for $8.50. Review and application tutorial to come later tonight! Here are the two polish packets I bought today:

Overnight Skin Saver
Mario Badescu
Drying Lotion
Mario Badescu skin care products are a tried and true GIFT to skin care regimes. This one particular product, if I had to choose just one, would be my main pick because overall skincare starts when skin is healthy and blemish free. But being blemish free ALL the time is just not a possibility for me. This drying potion has two components. The first component, top layer, is a liquid, whereas the bottom layer is a calamine based "lotion". To apply this product you must dip a q-tip through the liquid and into the bottom layer and pull the q-tip straight back up and out of the bottle. Then apply this spot treatment wherever you feel or see a blemish. This product is best when used before bed and left on the face or body overnight and washed off in the morning. The results will be a less inflamed and irritated blemish that will heal much faster than if left to be poked and prodded. This product comes in either a glass or plastic bottle and costs $17.
Two Most Practical Eyeshadow Palettes I Own
Pink Pony Palette
This first palette is one I use normally every weekend. It is the Urban Decay Show Pony palette designed by Kime Buzzelli for Urban Decay. I use these colors at night because the pigmentation and color, I feel, are too strong for daytime wear. I found this palette at Sephora but it is also available on the Urban Decay website. This palette costs about 34 dollars and well worth it. I have had this palette for over a year and haven't seemed to make a dent in the colors that I use quite often. It also comes with a sample size Primer Potion (not worth buying separately in my opinion) and the Urban Decay black eyeliner in "Zero". The colors in this palette include: Snatch (rosey pink with gold sparkles), Mildew (shimmering forest green), Flash (electric purple), Painkiller (shimmering aquamarine), Smog (golden bronze), and Toasted (copper).
Champagne & Caviar Palette
This palette by NYX is my go to palette whenever applying my makeup because the palette consists of earth tone neutrals. I use this palette even when using the Show Pony palette above. I generally like to use the deep brown in this palette as my crease color no matter what color i've used as a base. I found this palette at Ulta cosmetics and it was about nine dollars. This particular NYX palette is the champagne & caviar palette from the NYX runway collection. Like the Show Pony palette, I have had this NYX palette for over a year and still remarkably have a lot of product left. The two colors I use most are the white shadow and the dark brown shadow (these shadows do not have specific names). I use the white shadow for brow and cheek highlights while I use the deep brown as my crease color and sometimes for brown definition. Very versatile palette. I sometimes will apply lip gloss and then press some of the pink shadow pigments from either the Pink Pony or NYX palette onto the gloss to make a unique lip color.
Tanning Product Of The Month
For a while now I have been using Kiehl’s Sun Free Self-Tanning Formula but recently made the switch to Mystic Tan’s Sunless Tanning lotion and loving it! I found this product at Ulta cosmetics but it is also available at Sephora and other online beauty websites.
In high school I attempted the Mystic Spray tan at my local tanning salon and the color was so beautiful. This lotion created by the same company gives you almost exactly the same color you would receive from the Mystic spray tan at a salon. The entire bottle will generally last you about four full body applications and each application lasts about a week with generous daily moisturizing from any moisturizer you have on hand. Moisturizing on top of the sunless tanner after you have applied it the first day will prolong the tan and keep skin from cracking and creating uneven color.
